Now, it is possible to quick edit in bulk the language in posts edit list.
WHEN will be 1.9 version shipped ?
xili-language 1.9 will be shipped with final WP 3.1 – but now the lastest version of XL is 3.1. RC compatible…
Effectively, the default nav menu built by xili-language redirect to home of the other language. XL is able to change this but you need to be php user to add an api according your rules of navigation.
If a page (or a post) is displayed (as single) and had a « sister » in other languages, an another template tag exists to link to this sister… example here : http://multilingual.wpmu.xilione.com/about/ – this child theme use the template tag.

Yes, by having a lot of tags (>2620), the javascript who splits the long list can be very busy in tags table assign… Tell me if you are patient how it takes..

If your theme is widget compatible, can you temporary add xili tag cloud widget and see the results.

Since his original architecture (CMS), xili-language use built-in taxonomy features of WP and keep original characteristics of posts (page or article or since 3.0 custom post).
So, to call a post with his only one affected language, only the permalink (or his short ID ?p=, ?page_id=) is used – no query tag lang –
The language taxonomy with query tag (lang) is used only – very seldom- when sub-selecting posts for one language in home or in a category.
If you visit https://dev.xiligroup.com or http://multilingual.wpmu.xilione.com/ or lot of sites using xili-language trilogy you can see that this query tag is used currently in menu or in languages list when a category is displayed.
A template tag exists also to generate link a post to his translation/adaptation in another lang when displayed as a single. and lots of not-visible feature to do very original browsing…

Plugin is under GPL, you are totally free to modify the php source.
By doing this, you can conserve the trigger (when a post is inserted) and modify the content of the sent email…

The best way to be informed about new topic is to add a rss flow in a software (like netnewwires on mac). On Safari, click the rss mini icon on left of URL line to have the url of rss… (you can choose new post or new topic…)

Are you php easy and wp coding easy (wp hook technology) ? If not it will be uneasy to explain the hook function and improvements results.
xiliml_the_other_posts function is a template tag of xili-language plugin usable as other template tags BUT that can be hooked to create to have result adapted to the design of the theme desired by the webmaster.
